I bring deep expertise to a practice focused on the human side of wealth — the relationships, values, and conversations that determine whether a family remains cohesive across generations.
Dr. Lindsay Hardie, Ph.D
Clinical Psychologist

I've spent my career exploring what helps people lead meaningful lives, navigate complexity, and build strong relationships. .
That work has taken me through clinical psychology, values-based behavioral science, and decades of studying how individuals and families make decisions, communicate, and create lasting change.
I founded Sierra Legacy Consulting to bring that expertise to a space that has long been underserved. As I began working with families of significant wealth, I recognized that the questions I'd spent my career exploring—how families communicate, how responsibility is shared across generations, what goes unspoken, and how values are put into practice—were often the very challenges standing between financial success and an enduring legacy. Financial advisors are experts at managing wealth. Few are trained to help families prepare the people who will inherit it. That's where my work begins.
My practice integrates psychology, family systems, more than two decades of meditation practice, and personal experience navigating wealth as a married-in family member.
.
I partner with families across a range of transitions—from multigenerational legacy planning and family business succession to rising-generation development and couples navigating the intersection of wealth and relationships. Together, we build the trust, communication, and clarity that allow both families and their wealth to flourish over time.
The families I work with aren't looking for therapy. They're looking for a trusted partner who understands that the greatest challenges of wealth are rarely financial—they're human. Together, we create the conversations, structures, and alignment that help families carry both their wealth and their values forward.

Financial capital can be transferred with documents. Human capital requires intention.
My work helps families prepare both.

A Note on How I Work
Throughout this site, you'll see references to "we." That word is deliberate.
Behind my practice is a carefully assembled network of professionals I know and trust personally — family business advisors, rising-generation cohorts, family governance experts, philanthropic consultants, individual coaches, and others who bring deep sensitivity to the questions families of wealth tend to carry. When your situation calls for it, I'll recommend one or two collaborators whose backgrounds fit what you're navigating.
This is not a firm. It's a community of people who know how to hold complex engagements with care and discretion. That network is what allows me to meet each family exactly where they are.
